Our carefully selected artists-in-residence create and design the pieces for the year-end exhibition
They work collaboratively with participants throughout the process; each project is thoughtfully developed to match participants’ skill levels, ensuring accessibility and meaningful engagement. Participants take an active role as artist assistants, directly contributing to the making of each piece.

2026-2027 Season Artists in Residence:
Leah Hofmann Selvidio
Leah Hofmann Selvidio is a New York City–based interdisciplinary artist whose work spans visual art, puppetry, performance, and theatrical storytelling. She is the creator of Etchy Sketchy Art, an imaginative visual art practice that transforms the Etch A Sketch into a canvas for intricate and expressive artwork. Her work has been displayed at the St. Louis Magic House Children’s Museum, The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, and Slate Café locations throughout New York City.
A Broadway performer and associate director, Leah’s New York theatrical credits include War Horse, Big Fish, Something Rotten!, POTUS, Left on Tenth, and SMASH. She also serves as the Creative Director of The Sarafinas Precision Dance Company, for which she has created two original productions, The Sarafinas, My Way and ’Tis the Season, Starring the Sarafinas. Most recently, she performed as lead puppeteer for the world-premiere musical The Snow Goose at Goodspeed Musicals. Across her many artistic disciplines, Leah is passionate about breathing new life into classic stories, vintage objects, and forgotten treasures—reimagining them through a contemporary artistic lens and inviting audiences to see them anew.
Beauty Baco
Baco’s interests are of the mundane and quotidian. Her practice is of repetition, rituals and rhythms. The construct of time is deeply embedded in her creative practice and process. The act serves as marking of presence and being present. The ephemeral quality of time drives Baco to create by clicking, sketching, cutting, folding, stitching and moving as a manner of encapsulating that brief moment and making it permanent. The pieces that come out from the explorations are expressed in an interdisciplinary body of work.
