A Review of our Latest Art Show

We were excited to learn that artist, theologian, and educator Maria Fee wrote a lovely review of our last exhibition in The Christian Century. In it, she highlights the beauty and importance of gathering to work with our hands in community.

She parallels the work of the Gleaning Project with that of women in the Bible and notes that gathering in safe spaces to craft and create is a centuries-old tradition. “Concurrent with the riverside legacy of women’s industry, Gleaning Project’s mutual labor permits convivial interactions where stories are told, techniques are shared, and each person is warmly regarded,” she writes.
